Sometimes it’s hard to think of ideas for what to post, so here are some suggestions:
Post announcements of your store promotions and specials
Make seasonal reminders of reasons to use your business at certain times of year, or holiday promotions
Give tips and advice that demonstrate your expertise in your area of specialty
Announce special events you are hosting or participating in
Let your customers know about changes to your hours for holidays or special seasons
Make posts announcing and linking to your articles, blogs, videos etc.
Show your community spirit by congratulating the team you sponsor, encouraging support of a local cause you support, celebrating community events you’re part of, etc. Our visitors care!
Important Tips
Keep posts short and pithy – if there’s more information, link to it rather than reproducing it
Always use a photo or illustration to attract the eye
Use your posts to help search engines and users learn more about you; include a link to a relevant page of your website, or Web Page on your Business Profile, or use the attachments buttons to the right of the post field to link to a Marketplace Item, Coupon, Download (File), etc.
When you post, your last post is hidden and linked as a “Recent Post.” Time posts strategically
Often too busy to post? In downtime, use the Post Scheduler to set up many posts so your content keeps working when you can’t make time (upgraded programs only)
Remember the value of a Call to Action – “Come check it out!” “Ask us why” “Visit today”
Don’t rely on posters (pictures of words) to say it for you. Type it out so Google can see it
