Consumers can subscribe to your email updates by entering their email addresses in the Subscribe for Updates field on your ShopCity.com business profile or in the Newsletter Sign Up field on your Quicksite/Kicksite. You will receive an email notification.
To view your subscriber list, click the Newsletters shortcut in the Overview panel of your Dashboard, followed by the See Subscribers button below the recent newsletters list. Or you can choose the Publish tab on the navigation bar anywhere in your Business Control Panel and click on the Subscribers link or the Recent Subscribers panel.
Your subscribers can be listed alphabetically by email address, or by date of subscription, or by date of re-confirmation. You can switch among the list views by clicking the up and down arrows in the titles of the Email, Joined or Confirmed columns.
To add an email address yourself, click Add Subscriber in the left column, and enter the email address and the subscriber name (optional; this is for your own reference only) in the corresponding fields. You can add the subscriber to any or all of your mailing groups by checking the boxes beside the appropriate list name. Click the Save button to finish the entry and open a blank form to enter your next subscriber.
If you have a list of subscribers already in another medium, you can add them in bulk to your subscriber database. Click Add Bulk Subscribers in the left column beside your Subscriber list. You can now type or paste from your clipboard a list of email addresses, separated by commas, spaces, line breaks, field breaks in a spreadsheet, or semi-colons. Assign your new batch of subscribers to any or all of your subscriber lists by clicking the corresponding boxes in the Mailing Groups field below.
Duplicate email addresses within the list, or addresses that duplicate subscribers already in your ShopCity.com subscriber database, will be automatically removed.
Email addresses in your batch that have previously unsubscribed will not be added, unless you check the box, “Subscribe addresses that have previously unsubscribed.”
Click Save to complete the entry and return to the Subscriber list view.
Tip: If you already have your subscribers assigned to groups in another application, sort them in the other application and add them in batches to your ShopCity.com subscriber database, to make it easy to assign everyone in each batch to the same set of groups.
You can edit the address, name or mailing groups of individual subscribers by clicking the pencil icon next to the address in the Subscriber list view. You can delete individual subscribers by clicking the red “X” button next to the address in the Subscriber list view and OK in the confirmation dialog pop-up.
Should you need one, you can request an exported spreadsheet file (Microsoft Excel) of your subscriber database from your local City Manager or Sales Representative.
