Gift certificates are available to the public for purchase from participating businesses on your ShopCity.com site. Visitors can select a business, a denomination and a background and print the certificate or send it by email to a recipient. When a certificate is purchased, you will receive a notification and certificate number, and the certificate will be entered in your Gift Certificates log under the Sell Online tab of your Business Control Panel (see: Managing Gift Certificates).
To activate Gift Certificates for your business, choose Activate Gift Certificates from your the Getting Started menu of your Dashboard or select Sell Online from the navigation bar and click on the Gift Certificates panel or click the eGift Cards link. You will be prompted to read the terms and conditions, enter your PayPal email address, and accept the terms and conditions by clicking the I agree box. Then click the Proceed button to activate.
Gift certificates purchased will be redeemable in-store right away, and you will be paid for all gift certificates purchased in a calendar month on the 15th of the following month, through your PayPal account. ShopCity.com withholds 5% for transaction and processing fees.
